The 2012 is a velvety textured, surprisingly lush, easygoing style of wine, with sweet tannin, medium body, nice black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, judicious use of oak and a lush finish. Drink it over the next 8-10 years.

Description

Chateau Haut-Marbuzet is located near two famous Grands Cru Classés, Château Cos d’Estournel and Château Montrose. It is owned by  Duboscq family since 1952. The family managed to raise Chateau Haut-Marbuzet among the best wines of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, and even the Medoc as a whole

The 2015 Haut-Marbuzet is a wine of great classicism. Indeed, it was created during a vintage which perfection is almost similar the 2010 vintage. The purple-tinted inky red colour is a good indicator of this wine texture. The nose does not give off a lot of aromas before swirling, the wine density is ever-present. Yet, the swirling reveals the aromatic breadth of this Saint-Estephe. A large palette of black fruits prevails with a balsamic hint. The palate is solid, carefully structured on broad and quality tannins. This wine carries good freshness and strength, and has a great ageing potential.
