Chateau Lalande Borie 2013 Saint Julien

Grape Varieties:

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Body: Medium

Tasting Notes:

Beautiful purple. Expressive nose with fruity and spicy aromas. Soft and elegant attack, with good length.

Critic Reviews:

Wine Spectator: 90 Points

Wine Enthusiast – 2016: 90 Points

This structured wine has acidity and a broad base of black fruits. It is concentrated and firm, but with the fruitiness of the vintage. Drink this already-attractive wine from 2018

Food Pairing:

Cured cheese, red meat.

The 25ha of the present vineyard of Château Lalande Borie is planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
With a density of 8,500 vines per hectare, the vineyard is managed traditionally (Medoc, double Guyot pruning etc.), while including the latest viticultural techniques: leaf-thinning by hand, green harvests in summer, partial cover crop, control of yields and application of sustainable phytosanitary treatments.
