The elegance and freshness of our brand
This is one of those wines in which simplicity and careful winemaking are the key for its elegance. A wine to enjoy at any time of day.
The story of our winery is marked by the history of our land, Navarra, and Juan de Albret, first Prince of Viana, an aristocratic title which has been held since 1423 by the heirs to the throne of Navarre, and Spain thereafter.
Bodegas Príncipe de Viana was born with an entrepreneurial spirit just over 30 years ago and today we are leaders in research, innovation and customer orientation, and a symbol for tradition, continuity and renewal.
Fermentation in oak barrels, 50% French, 50% American. Kept on its fine lees for three months with regular bâttonages until decantation from the barrels.
Colour: Bright lemon yellow colour with green hues.
Nose: The nose displays a clear intense tropical fruit character of pineapples and bananas, accompanied with citric notes of lemon and lime and a vanilla and fresh-baked bread finish from the ageing in oak.
Palate: Sweet and fresh palate with a full mouth-feel, balanced acidity and a characterful long finish.
